Tips for Renters:

  • Copies of Logbook:  Make copies of your logbook in the unfortunate event your logbook gets lost or stolen.  Copies will make the process of recovering your hours less stressful.  Keep the copies in a fire protection safe or make an additional copy to keep at a close family or friend's house. (Back to top)
  • Plane Etiquette:   After you fly, we ask that you leave the plane the way you would like the aircraft to look before you fly.  Take your garbage with you and secure the aircraft.  Do not leave any oil quarts, windshield cleaner, etc. in the aircraft. (Back to top)
  • Procedures for renting overnight:   Minimum per overnight charge is three (3) hours.  If you purchase fuel, turn in your original receipt that shows the number of gallons purchased and the unit price. Flight 101 reimburses up to the amount of fuel per gallon that we pay.  If an unfortunate mechanical situation occurs with the aircraft, contact Flight 101 prior to contacting a local mechanic, we usually can fix the situation internally for a lot less than outsourcing.  You are responsible for any fees during your trip such as landing fees. (Back to top)
  • Landing Light INOP:   Do not use the landing light during the day, this includes in the traffic pattern during the day.  The landing light useful life is only 20 hours!  Minimized use will reduce inop light situations during night landings.  (Back to top)
